Accommodation – Outeniqua Mountains
FARM STAY
Our farm stay, known as the Boshuis, comprises a two-bedroom en-suite spacious home that is fully equipped with everything that you’ll need to enjoy your stay. It is nestled in an indigenous forest at the foot of the Outeniqua mountains where rest and relaxation are guaranteed. It is a mere 15 minutes from George Airport, but you will feel as though you are miles away from civilization as you are surrounded by birdsong, fresh mountain air and the sound of the nearby stream. The Boshuis is an off-grid getaway that uses solar energy, gas and borehole water. There are a handful of little paths, which you can meander along on the farm. Our favourite path winds along the Modder River, through the indigenous forest and ends up at a waterfall and a freshwater pool.
The Boshuis has been designed as space that is dedicated to relaxation and rejuvenation. It has a well-equipped kitchen, which includes a four-plate gas hob, microwave, toaster and fridge/freezers. The bedrooms have king-size, extra-length beds (which can be converted to two single beds on request), soaking tubs with forest views, and inside and outside showers. With multiple comfortable sitting areas, which include an indoor braai area, fireplace, outside fire pit and pizza oven, our aim is to make you feel at home and experience the beauty and restorative powers of nature.
PLEASE NOTE:
We recommend using a higher clearance vehicle when travelling to the Boshuis. There are low-water bridges and farm roads, which are often muddy and always bumpy, that you need to navigate to reach the Boshuis.
